| Since the establishment of our company in 1940,
we, Nabeya Kogyo Co., Ltd. have been producing power transmission equipment
and standard machine elements under the brand name of NBK. We are proud
that the NBK brand name has been regarded in the overseas market as a
manufacturer of quality products. We have changed our products and our
business style little by little over the past 60 years. However, especially
in the recent decade, such changes became rapid and remarkable. Thus,
we have decided to change the company name and logo, with a desire of
further expansion and growth of our company, in the new millennium.
"Nabeya" means the house (manufacturer) of cooking pans, and we use "Nabeya" in the new company name because we will not change our policy to produce and sell our own products under our own brand name. "Bi-tech" is a coined word of "bi" (=two) and "techniques". We have a desire to be a company having both a traditional casting technique and hi-technology. "Kaisha" is a Japanese word meaning "Company" or "Corporation", and it is now an English word, like "Kaizen" or "Keiretsu". As a result, the logo and initial letters of the new company name now go together. While we value our NBK brand as before, as the trademark of our products, we would like to realize a corporate management of fast and quick change.
