Q. How much force is required for rotation?

The rated torque is 0.8 N・m for EPU-210 and EPU-220.
For example, 1 kg of force can generate the force required to rotate a handle of about Φ150.

The rated torque can be amplified to 2.7 N・m when using in combination with the high torque adapter EOAT-200-4,
and to 5.4 N・m when with the high torque adapter EOAT-200-8.

Q. What voltage is the power supply?

24 VDC ±10%.

Q. What amperage is the required current?

Maximum 1 A.

Q. What is the stop accuracy, more or less?

±5°.

Q. What motor is used?

A DC geared motor.

Q. Is there a brake function?

The main body has a self-locking mechanism via the gear design.

Q. How do I check the present position?

The EPU motor has an encoder. It performs a linear conversion of rotation [°] with the feed screw lead [mm] and displays the present position in [mm].

Q. Is the present position retained even when the power is turned off?

The present position is retained as position information in the memory, so when the power is turned off and then on again, the same position information will be used for starting.
Note that if the output shaft is rotated by external force while the power is out, there will be a deviation from the position information retained in the memory, requiring the home position to be redefined.

Q. Is use possible without a transceiver?

EPU-210 can be used without a transceiver.

Q. Is combined use with a manual handle possible?

It is not.
For fine adjustment of the unit, press the JOG movement button on the main body.

Q. What is the wireless communication distance, more or less?

The wireless module reference values are 60 m indoors/1200 m outdoors.
It varies according to the operating environment, due to the influence of obstacles, the surrounding wireless environment, etc.

Q. The software (EPU-COM) does not display a communication port.

Check whether the transceiver driver is installed correctly.
In some cases the transceiver virtual COM port (VCP) driver won’t install unless connected to the Internet.
Download the FTDI VCP driver from the website below and install to the PC.

Q. Is there a product warranty?

The warranty period for EPU-210, EPU-220 is 300 hours of operation or one year, whichever is shorter.
The warranty period for the EPC-200-CC, EPC-210-EIP, and EPC-100 transceivers is one year of operation.
