Description of Tamper Resistant Screws for the Engineers
About Tamper Resistant Screws
Tamper Resistant Screws require specific tools to fasten and remove. Commercial screwdrivers and wrenches cannot fasten or remove these screws.
They are also referred to as anti-theft or tamper-proof screws.
Advantages of using of Tamper Resistant Screws
Tampering can be prevented by using our tamper resistant screws for situations in which only specific workers may alter equipment and screws.
They are also effective in theft prevention.
Examples of Use
For high security locations
For theft prevention
Theft Prevention Nuts
Theft Prevention Nuts can be easily fastened with commercially available tools. However, these nuts can only be removed with tools specific to this product. This allows a time-efficient fastening process even for high security applications.
Flat Head Bolts with Hexalobular Socket (with Pin)
Use in combination with washers allows flat head bolts to be fastened without countersinking.
Even when trying to grasp the screw periphery with a special tool, the washer turns and prevents the screw from coming off.
As it comes with a pin, the bolt itself cannot be removed without a special tool, making it effective in tamper prevention.
Captive Button Head Cap Bolts with Hexalobular Socket (with Pin)
Our tamper resistant captive screws prevent the falling-out and loss of screws.
They are designed to fix protective and inspection covers that are frequently installed and removed.
One Side Pan Head Machine Screws
Our One Side Pan Head Machine Screws can be fastened but not removed by commercially available flat head screwdrivers due to its peculiar head shape. To remove these screws, a dedicated tool is needed. These are also referred to as ‘one-way screws.’
One Side Pan Head Machine Screws are ideal for interlock devices.

Other Tamper Resistant Screws
Screws can be cut to your desired length in 1mm increments.
Anti-loosening treatments for screws are available. This is beneficial for applications requiring anti-loosening screw measures or sealing. Our anti-loosening treatments save you the trouble of applying adhesive or sealing tape.
Screws can be provided with relief cut and fall-out prevention functions originally designed to fix protective and inspection covers that are frequently installed and removed.

Anti-removal measures for interlock devices
According to the ISO 14119 revision (2013), measures are now required to prevent the dismantling, removal, or disabling of interlock devices. Among these measures, the use of a special screw which can only turn in one direction is recommended.
